Prosource IT has been part of the IT industry for nearly 13 years, so the ORBIE Awards, which honor the achievements and contributions of Chief Information Officers (CIOs), are near and dear to our professional hearts. Each year, SouthFloridaCIO presents the regional ORBIE Awards, and it was our honor to be underwriters for this year’s program. The Prosource IT team had a terrific time at the ceremony as we celebrated the winners, finalists, and nominees; talked shop; and made meaningful connections.

The CIOs honored in this year’s ceremony were a terrific group of leaders in public and private business, government, education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. Their work both challenges and inspires us. As award recipient Ashish Gupta, VP and CIO of NextEra Energy, put it in the South Florida Business Journal, “CIOs are the change agents who can share the art of what’s possible with technology and communicate interdependencies across the company. They are advocates who promote digital concepts, innovation, and experimentation.”

Congratulations to the 2023 South Florida winners:

Mark Moch, CIO for the American Oncology Network, was awarded the Corporate ORBIE for companies with up to $500 million in annual revenue.

William Velez, CIO of Harvard Maintenance, Inc., was awarded the Corporate ORBIE for companies with more than $500 in annual revenue.

Ashish Gupta, VP and CIO of NextEra Energy, was awarded the Leadership ORBIE.

Patrick Hale, EVP and CIO of VITAS Healthcare, was awarded the Enterprise ORBIE for his innovative contributions to technology in healthcare settings.

Margaret Brisbane, CIO for Miami Dade County, was awarded the Large Enterprise ORBIE for her excellence in technology and leadership.

Tim Langley Hawthorne, CIO of Hertz, was awarded the Global ORBIE.

We feel privileged to be part of an exceptional organization like South Florida CIO, standing alongside numerous industry leaders. The Orbie Awards brought us immense joy, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved. It is always an absolute honor to share this journey with you.

Why You Need an AI Strategy in 2026

Why You Need an AI Strategy in 2026

AI adoption is accelerating. 88% of organizations now use AI in at least one business function. But using AI tools isn’t the same as having an AI strategy. Many teams test AI without seeing real results because they lack a clear plan for implementation, measurement, and scale.

In 2026, the gap between AI experimentation and AI execution is widening. Companies with strategic AI implementation are reducing incidents by 82%, doubling release frequency, and cutting failures by 75%. Those without a strategy face scattered adoption, compliance risks, and wasted resources.

This guide explains what an AI strategy does, why you need one now, and what to include. Discover how to move from “trying AI” to “using AI to win” with high-impact use cases, workflow integration, and measurable outcomes. Learn how Prosource AI Studio helps turn AI strategy into execution.
